Essential Functions

  • Creates client demand by effectively executing the Heart Smart marketing strategy.
  • Develops and implements robust territory business plans centered on performance to meet or exceed territory goals and requirements.
  • Conducts an assertive selling approach with clients combining individual selling methods with approved marketing tools. 
  • Demonstrates high-level proficiency in utilizing market data and analysis to set a clear plan of action. 
  • ​Expert in creating a long-term plan for enhancing client relationships and leveraging managed care opportunity. 
  • Demonstrates highly effective territory management and superior selling competencies. 
  • Demonstrates sales strategy in linking each sales call to the entire call continuum with immediate follow up on pending issues.
  • Displays high-level of motivation to consistently enhance performance. 
  • Foster team effectiveness by sharing knowledge, experience and information.
  • Represents the Heart Smart brand in a professional, compliant, ethical and effective manner. 
  • Effective management of daily work schedule, territory resources and budget.  


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field. (Majors preferred - Marketing, Business Administration, Sciences, Healthcare Fields)
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous specialty medical devices sales, including strong results-oriented technical sales experience. 
  • Preferred experience in the areas of Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Neurology. 
  • Experience with analyzing data, statistics, and latest medical issues and trends. 
  • Proficient in all MS Office tools and database applications. 
  • ​Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
  • Must hold a valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle to use for sales calls. ​

Sales Specialist: Long Island, NY

The Sales Specialist is responsible for effectively presenting Heart Smart's diagnostic equipment and services to a defined list of current and prospective clients. Within an assigned territory, the Sales Specialist with utilize all marketing resources to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account acquisition. Clients include but are not limited to physicians, healthcare providers, retail/wholesale accounts and hospitals/clinics.
